Positive Mindset and Communication at the Workplace
This 1-day program focuses on communicating to win with a positive mindset and skillset. They are the basic fundamentals of what influences our minds. It will bring new light to participants on how they can look at challenging situations in a positive way. And how they are able to communicate with their superiors and team players more effectively by having a higher empathy level on how and why people behave in a way that is different from them.
Course Objectives
- Gain awareness on the new level of perspectives and mindset/attitude using NLP approach in order to cultivate positive mindset in communicating with customers and colleagues.
- Understand different people personalities with DISC profiling, identify their strengths, weaknesses and how to communicate with them effectively with empathy in order to be able to handle human behavior and situations better and foster collaboration.
- Gain better awareness on their healthy and unhealthy behaviors when conflicts arise in order to foster a more harmonious relationship.
- Learn to appreciate the communication differences of each generation and start to connect differently to foster collaboration.
- Develop active listening skills and art of asking questions with colleagues of all levels to build better understanding and solve issues more effectively with customers and colleagues.

Methodology
This programme uses a combination of training aids and methods such as lectures, activities, exercises, scenario discussions, video clips, and PowerPoint slides to enhance learning. The learning process is experiential and highly interactive.
Course Modules
- 9:00 am – 9:30 am: Warm-up, Learning intention and expectation
- 9:30 am – 10:30 am: The 4 Pillars of NLP – beliefs, mindset, actions, barriers to communication
- 10:30 am – 10:45 am: Tea Break
- 10:45 am – 1:00 pm: Understanding and Managing Yourself and Your Colleagues (DISC style, communication strengths, flexibility, empathy)
- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Lunch
- 1:45 pm – 3:15 pm: Understanding Generation Differences and Resolving Conflicts
- 3:15 pm – 3:30 pm: Tea Break
- 3:30 pm – 4:45 pm: Active Listening Skill (listening vs hearing, clarifying questions, paraphrasing, magic word)
- 4:45 pm – 5:15 pm: Conclusion and Action Steps to Improve Collaboration
